A tribute to a Limerick hero, this jersey honours Seán Sabhat — or Seán South of Garryowen — the IRA volunteer who died in action on New Year’s Day 1957 during an attack on Brookeborough RUC barracks.
Model is 6'0" (183cm) and wearing a size Medium.
Large is Temporarily out of Stock, if you order large the expected dispatch date is 6th April 2026.
Boldly designed in camo green with deep brown trim, the jersey features a ghosted portrait of Seán Sabhat on the front, flanked by a triskele and Celtic cross — ancient Irish symbols of eternity, unity, and resistance. His name and life dates (1928–1957) are printed on the chest in gold, a quiet reminder of sacrifice and belief.
On the back, the number 57 stands large in a traditional Irish-style typeface — a nod to the year of his death — with the final verse of the iconic ballad Seán South of Garryowen printed beneath:
Sad are the homes round Garryowen
Since they lost their joy and pride...
Each jersey is made from our high-performance Aeraweave™ fabric, built to last and breathable in any weather.
Whether you wear it in honour, in memory, or in pride, this jersey carries the spirit of Garryowen and the fight for freedom on every stitch.
