Worn in tribute — this jersey honours one of the most iconic symbols in Irish history: the Irish Republic flag flown over the GPO during the 1916 Easter Rising.
That flag, bearing the words Irish Republic in bold gold lettering, was hand-stitched by Molly O'Reilly, a teenage member of Cumann na mBan, and Mary Shannon, a young worker from Liberty Hall. It was sewn in the heart of revolutionary Dublin, in the basement of Liberty Hall, under the instruction of James Connolly and the Irish Citizen Army. Days later, it flew defiantly above the General Post Office as rebels declared Ireland’s independence to the world.
This jersey recreates that powerful symbol — pairing the original typeface with rich green and gold detail on a natural parchment base. The Celtic cross and triskele honour Ireland’s ancient spirit, while Poblacht na hÉireann across the back proudly echoes the original declaration.
Crafted from our Aeraweave™ fabric, it’s soft, breathable, and built to last — just like the ideals it represents.
